Christophur R. Aldridge, 59, of DeKalb, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois.

He was born July 30, 1959, in DeKalb, the son of Buddy and Minnie (Farner) Aldridge. Christophur married Donna Kaye Patrick on November 15, 1993, in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Christophur was a graduate of Shabbona High School Class of 1976. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served with the 101st Airborne Division. Christophur was a craftsman and enjoyed woodworking, wrestling, video games, guitar and music. His pride and joy was his service dog, Pinkie.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his children, Damien Aldridge, Anthony Dean Aldridge, Raymond Aldridge, Nikita (Douglas) Stanfield, twins, Austin (Brylee) and Brandin Aldridge; three grandchildren; his parents, Buddy and Minnie; his siblings, Billy Aldridge, Pamela Atkinson, Danny Aldridge and Deborah "Dianne" (Roger) Swedberg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Mabel and Pat Patrick; and brother-in-law, Roger Atkinson.

The Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb, with full military honors by DeKalb American Legion Post 66. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Christophur Aldridge Memorial Fund, addressed to the Aldridge Family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 605, 2011 South Fourth Street, DeKalb, IL 60115.
