Jim, we will miss you. Really miss you. A lot of us remember you from the early days at the Uptown Restaurant in DeKalb, and since asome of our class consisted of Vassilogambros, Stellatos, etal, we requested you as our event bartender for both our 30 & 35 year reunions, which we had at Kish Country Club. We will miss you.

Jimmy, I know that you are with us here in spirit. It was always nice to see your face and talk to you a little bit about almost anything. You will be missed every single day. God bless you -

I worked with Jim for many years and held him in very high regard. I remember coming into work while I was pregnant and he would have a stool ready for me when I needed it behind the bar. The first time I worked a party behind the bar with Jim at the end of the night he said I hung in there really well. That is still one of the best compliments I have had in my life. I'll miss you Jim.

Jim was an employee of my grandparents for many years, managing the bar. From the original McCabes to the current location. He was such a nice, kind man and was a part of my childhood and a big part of our family back then. RIP Jim and I'm sure my grandpa Wendell will have a cocktail waiting for you. Jane Luper-Anderson

Nobody could complete a crossword puzzle faster than Jim. And he sure could make a great cocktail :) He could make conversation with anyone, about anything. You will be missed, Jim. Rest in peace.
Your friend,

Jimmy was one of my college roommates, when we lived on Augusta Ave in DeKalb. Throughout the years, we'd see each other around town. He was always kind, considerate, and loved to reminisce about the good 'ol days at Northern. Peace is now yours, Jimmy.

Jim lived across the street from me in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. I met him when I moved there in 1955. The kids in the neighborhood played kickball or baseball in the street in the summer evenings. He went to St. Petronille Church and school through eighth grade. Then he attended Glenbard High School. Jim has been on our Glenbard class of '61 lost list for many years. I'm so sorry we couldn't find him before he passed. He was a fine, quiet, fun loving friend. It looks like he had a good life with lots of friends.

Jim was a good old boy, without a mean bone in his body. The world is poorer w/out him. We'll miss ya, Buddy!
