1984 - 2011 Obituary Condolences
Dearly loved daughter, sister and friend, Kristin Ann Barrett was carried into the arms of Jesus late Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 3, 2011.
She was born Aug. 17, 1984. At the age of nine she was diagnosed with a deadly heart disrythmia and received a life saving A.I.C.D. In 2003, her heart had worsened and in 2008, she became so weak and almost died. It was then discovered that her underlying illness was desminopathy, a rare genetic disorder.
Although her physical heart was worsening during her life, her spiritual heart touched the lives of so many. Kristin was given a genuine love for people of other nations and cultures by her loving Savior. When she was still able, He sent her to South Africa, Russia and the Lakota Nation in South Dakota. She graduated from the Honor Academy of Lyndale, Texas, a missionary school, in 2003.
In her last three years, throughout numerous hospital stays, Kristin touched the lives of people of many nations from every continent.
Kristin was met in heaven by her grandfather, Gene P. Frederiksen; grandmother, Susan J. Barrett; brother, Aaron Scott; and sister, Jessica Lynn.
She will be sorely missed by her parents, Lori and John; sisters, Brandie and Sarah; brother, Jeremiah; grandfather, John E. Barrett Sr.; grandmother, Norma J. Frederiksen; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive, Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Waterman Presbyterian Church, 250 N. Cedar St., Waterman, IL 60556, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be private.
