Leota M. Huff, 94, of Waterman, IL, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 18, 1924 in rural Somonauk, the daughter of Harry and Verma (Rumney) Cunz. She married Kenneth Jacob Huff on November 13, 1948 in Somonauk, IL; they were married for over 60 years. She and her husband lived and farmed in rural Waterman on the Huff family farm, which has been in the family since 1874. Leota was a member of Waterman Presbyterian Church. She served her country in the US Navy. Leota was an intricate part of the functioning of the Sandwich Fair Horseshoe Pitching for many decades. Her passion was to care for her family and the family farm. She enjoyed golfing, traveling, and The Chicago Bulls.

She is survived by one daughter, Rita (Bill) Wilson; one son, Kent (Marie) Huff; one son-in-law, Paul Potter; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Rob) Kosman, Paul (Kate) Potter, Aaron (April) Potter, Genelle (Kevin Inman) Wilson, Christopher (Jennifer) Wilson, Mark (Michelle) Huff, Alison Huff, and Carrie Huff; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandson; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; one daughter, Regina Potter; two sisters, Vivian Cunz and Marion (Bill) Ryburn; and one brother, Donald (Cleo) Cunz.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Pastor James Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Grove Cemetery in rural Waterman, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the funeral home in Somonauk.
