Luella P. Lawton, 90, of Genoa died Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Northwoods Care Centre in Belvidere.

She was born Sept. 12, 1927 in Belvidere to Walter and Pearl (Hyser) Ollmann. She was married to LaVerne "Bud" Lawton.

Luella was a faithful member of the First Lutheran Church in Kirkland and active in the ELCS Ladies Church Group. She was employed at Automatic Electric- AG Communications, retiring in 1992 after 37 years of service. She also worked at Johnny's fish fry in Kingston. She enjoyed babies and children and had a lovely smile and giggle.

Survivors include her children, Terry Lawton of Genoa, Trudy Snell of Belvidere, Gary "Tuffy" Lawton of Rockford, Judy Klassen of Genoa and Sandy Lawton of Kirkland; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 3 sons, Dale, Barry and Jeff; her daughter, Pat; 2 sisters, Mabel and May Jane; 2 brothers, Donald and Laurel "Sonny" and her cousin, Bobby Anderson.

Her visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa and from 10:00 to 10:45 AM on Monday at the First Lutheran Church, Kirkland. Her funeral will be on Monday, June 11 at 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church, 510 W. South St., Kirkland, IL. with Rev. Carl Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be at the Belvidere Cemetery.
