Mary C. Kimery, 67, of Sycamore, Ill., died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her home. She was born Oct. 25, 1946, in Evansville, Ind., the daughter of Floyd and Mary (Masterson) Raven. Mary graduated from Rex Mundi High School in 1964 and attended Elgin College and the College of DuPage. She married Stephen L. Kimery on July 28, 2001 in St. Charles. Mary worked for Dr. Kurt Raack for many years. She loved to garden, grow flowers, exercise and dance. Mary truly loved her kids and grandkids and loved life. |
She is survived by her husband Stephen Kimery of Sycamore; four sons, Richard Scott Smith of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Mark Andrew Smith of Honolulu, Hawaii, James Bradley Smith of Maple Park and Jeffery Allen Smith of St. Charles; daughter, Courtney Lynn (Michael) Dewitt of Montgomery; step-son Scott (Jeanne) Kimery of Naperville; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol Shepard of Milwaukee, Wis. and Lois (Bill) Fink of Nashville, Tennessee.
She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Joe Raven and Bill Raven; brother-in-law, Dick Shepard; and step-son, John Kimery.
A funeral service to honor Mary will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd., Quiram Sycamore Chapel, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, with Father Paul Lipinski officiating. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a wake service at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Quiram Sycamore Chapel. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
