Born July 3, 1918, in DeKalb, the daughter of William A. and Bertha (Lay) Milburn, she married the late Henry F. Hayes on June 23, 1939; he preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2000.
A 1937 graduate of DeKalb High School, Marywill was a homemaker and enjoyed working at a family business, Jack's Juvenile shop in DeKalb.
Marywill was a member of First Baptist Church and Elks in DeKalb, was an avid bingo player and collected all types of elephants. She enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren, and loved to bake.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Hayes of Fort Myers, Fla., and Penny (Steve) Walz of Sycamore; one granddaughter, Amy (Brent) Dwyer of Sycamore; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Woolbright of Honolulu, Michael (Sierra) Woolbright and Kelsey VanVlerah of Sycamore.
She will be greatly missed by her very special neighbor and good friend, Doris Seats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; sisters, Nellie, Nona and Lucille; and brother, JR Milburn.
A private family graveside service will be held Sept. 14, at Fairview Park Cemetery, DeKalb.
