MAPLE PARK - Teresa C. "Teri" Faber, 58, of Maple Park, Ill., died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.|
She was born September 13, 1955, in Aurora, the daughter of George and Mary (Auffert) Baird. She married Tom A. Faber on June 15, 1974, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Virgil.
Teri was a graduate of the Kaneland High School, Class of 1974. She worked as a waitress for Sorrento's Restaurant for more than 35 years. She was the director of religious education at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Maple Park for 17 years and a faithful church member.
Teri loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and many special friends.
Survivors include her husband, Tom, of Maple Park; a son, Matt (Katie) Faber, of Sycamore; two daughters, Stephanie (Matt) Hanson and Nicole (Matt) Lind, all of Maple Park; seven grandchildren, Cole, Lilly, Samantha, Thomas, Elizabeth, Ryan and Alexis; one brother, George (Kathryn) Baird of Kirksey, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of Assumption Catholic Church, 123 S. County Line Road in Maple Park, by Fr. Dennis Morrissy and Fr. Joachim Tyrtania. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Maple Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore. A wake service will be recited at 7 p.m.
