DeKALB – Bonnie L. Brown, 83, of DeKalb, Ill., died Friday, April 27, 2012, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital, DeKalb.|
Born Friday, Jan. 18, 1929, in Monroe, Wis., to Joseph W. and Lolah Arlene (Lowe) Keegan, she married Donald Brown Sr. on Feb. 14, 1975; he predeceased her Dec. 31, 1997.
Bonnie worked in the automobile industry for many years in DeKalb. She attended St. Catherine of Genoa Catholic Church.
Bonnie is survived by one son, Jeff (Cindy) Hoffman; grandchildren, Jeffrey Shane Hoffman, Kristen Hoffman, and Jarod (Tristan) Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Dominick and Adeline Hoffman, and Hailey and Trent Hoffman; sister, Lois (Owen) Ball; and brother, David (Barb) Keegan.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Joseph, Eugene, Russell and William Keegan; and sister, Verlene Peters.
The family offers special thanks to Dr. R. Patel, Dr. Chang, the nurses at Kishwaukee Community Hospital, Bethany Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, and the staff of Heritage Woods.
Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2012, at St. Catherine of Genoa Catholic Church, 340 S. Stott St., with Fr. Timothy Seigel celebrating. Burial will be at St. Catherine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can go to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
