SYCAMORE – Jeannette A. "Jo" Klingenberg, 84, of Sycamore, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, at her home.|
She was born May 17, 1930, in Elgin, the daughter of George and Anna Margaret (Christensen) Hellmuth. She married (Edward) Warren Klingenberg on Sept. 19, 1948, in Sycamore.
Jo worked as a clerk for Ideal Industries, secretary for Paul Jacobson Builders, court clerk at the DeKalb County Courthouse, bus driver for Kaneland and Sycamore Schools, assistant supervisor for the Illinois Tollway for 19 years, and worked a variety of positions at the Silver Dollar City Park in Branson, Missouri.
Survivors include her three children, Michael, Susan (Al) Gorski and Cheryl; six grandchildren, Carolyn (Marc) Schmidt, Kelly (Nick) Hamill, Erik (Nikki), Brian and Kevin Klingenberg and Anea Klingenberg; five great-grandchildren, Camden and Grace Hamill, Cali and Brooklyn Schmidt, and Taylor Klingenberg; one brother, Robert (Sherry) Hellmuth; several nieces and nephews; and her care giver, Roselle "Angel" Agoyaoy.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Adeline (Paul) Schuppner; and one nephew, Edward Schuppner.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore, with the Rev. GaHyung Kim officiating. Burial will be in the Gardner Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Butala Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the service Wednesday.
