DeKALB – Mildred Grace "Millie" Wickstrom, 93, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at DeKalb County Rehab & Nursing Center, DeKalb.|
Born Aug. 30, 1920, in Chicago, the daughter of John and Grace (Wolke) Anderson, Millie married Harry Wickstrom on April 24, 1938, in Chicago.
Millie was a longtime member of Windsor Park Lutheran Church in Chicago. For almost the last 20 years, she was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in DeKalb.
She is survived by her sons, Dave of Cortland and Dennis (Peggy) of Onekama, Michigan; grandchildren, Tessa, Michael and Dean Wickstrom of DeKalb; great-granddaughters, Tessa Grace and Ella, both of DeKalb; sister, Gladys Rossow of Tinley Park; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry; and a brother, Richard Anderson.
The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 511 Russell Road, DeKalb, with the Rev. Ray Krueger officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Park Cemetery, DeKalb.
