Cleo Shirley Eberly, age 79, of Hinckley, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 5, 1935, in Lee, IL the daughter of George and Nellie (Arndt) Snoke.

Shirley was united in marriage on September 19, 1953, in Lee, IL to Bruce A. Eberly and they spent the next 53 happy years together until his passing on September 30, 2006.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Eberly was a member of the Hinckley First United Methodist Church in Hinckley, IL. Shirley was formerly employed for 27 years by Alloyd in DeKalb, IL. She enjoyed needlework, puzzles, and garage sales.

She is survived by her children, Colletta (Mark) McHugh of Hinckley, IL, Felicia (Mike) Lungren of Aurora, IL, Jeff Eberly of Hinckley, IL, and Mike (Lori) Eberly of Georgetown, KY; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Doug) Hamm, Randy Stiles, Timothy Lungren and Jacob and Madison Eberly; her great grandchildren, Megan and Mitchell Hamm and Rylee, Hunter, and Hayden Stiles; her sisters-in-law, Carol Ann Bergstrand of Hinckley, IL and Penny Layman of Aurora, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nellie Snoke; her husband Bruce Eberly; and her brothers-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Hinckley First United Methodist Church, 801 N. Sycamore St., Hinckley, IL with Pastor Laura Crites officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hinckley, IL.

Friends may visit from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, August 15, 2014, at the Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 N. Maple St., Hinckley, IL.

Memorials in Shirley's name may be directed to Unity Hospice or the Hinckley First United Methodist Church.
