Harold Littlejohn, 83, of Rochelle, Ill., passed away Monday, April 28, 2008, at Bethany Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in DeKalb.
Born Oct. 14, 1924, in DeKalb, he was the son of Carl and Mary (Smith) Littlejohn. Harold married Mary M. Barrett on June 10, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif.
Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in DeKalb and in Sun City, Ariz., for 35 years and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. Harold was an avid fisherman and loved fishing in Canada with his son, Dan.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Rochelle; a son, Daniel (Barbara) Littlejohn of DeKalb; a brother, Howard (Julie) Littlejohn of La Grange; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Littlejohn; and two sisters, Ruth Park and Hazel Haines.
There will be no visitation or services at this time.
