CREST HILL – Robert J. Nejedlo, 77, of Crest Hill, Ill., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013.|
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Robert later became a professor and counselor at Northern Illinois University. He was a past president of the American Counseling Association among other positions in the association. Robert enjoyed his retirement traveling and spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his beloved children, Kevin Nejedlo and Amy (Josh) Bloodgood; two grandchildren, Luke and Michael Bloodgood; two brothers, William (Sharon) and Joseph (Sharon) Nejedlo, and their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie (nee Paider) Nejedlo; and daughter, Lisa Nejedlo.
Per Robert's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. The family invites relatives and friends to join them for a visitation from 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilsen, Wis., until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Pilsen. There will be no funeral home visitation.
