SYCAMORE – Connie Sue McNew, 52, of Sycamore, Ill., died Monday, April 7, 2014, at Kishwaukee Hospital, DeKalb.|
Born Nov. 15, 1961, in DeKalb, the daughter of Luster and Mandy Ellen (Marlow) Davis, Connie married William Jay McNew on Aug. 29, 1981, in DeKalb.
Connie was a day-care provider for more than 20 years at Lucky Duckys Day Care in Sycamore, which she owned.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; son, Kaleb McNew of DeKalb; sisters, Reba (Jackie) Patterson of Nettleton, Miss., and Judy (James) Lawson of Casa Grande, Ariz.; brothers, Craig (Katie) Davis of Bean Station, Tenn., and Jerry (Kelley) Davis of Creston; her mother, Mandy Davis of DeKalb; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father in 2009.
Memorial visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb. No services will be held. Interment of cremated remains will be at a later date. Cremation is by Anderson Funeral Home Crematory, DeKalb.
