Edward Joseph "Eddie" Kralj Obituary
Kralj, Edward "Eddie" Joseph 85, US Army Veteran, formerly of Chicago, Illinois and Fort Myers Florida. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Grzywinski); devoted father of Karen (William) Winget, Joanne (Dan) Lockard, and Ed (Angela) Kralj; cherished grandfather of Kaitlin, Emma, Jackson, Luke, and Meagan; dear brother of Frank Kralj, Caroline Zuzich, George (Elaine) Kralj, and Vic Sebahar. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Eddie was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Natarelli, Mary Priesol; and his parents, Frank and Emma Kralj. Eddie was owner and proprietor of Frank King's of Chicago's Southeast Side and had many ties to his community. A kind, gentle man who connected with strangers and friends alike. He was a Southeast Side Lion and lifetime member of the American Legion Post 220. Also a member of St. George and Annunciata churches. Eddie was a devoted husband and father and involved with his grandchildren teaching them cribbage, card games and enjoying their sporting endeavors. He maintained a close connection to his childhood and Chicago Police officer friends and took numerous trips to cheer on his beloved Chicago Bears and Cubs. Passionate about fishing, he spent his summers at his lake house in Koontz Lake, Indiana. Eddie enjoyed 15 years of retirement in Florida. Visitation Sunday 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services Monday, April 7, 2014 9:30 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel 11200 S.
