Harold Lagesse Obituary
Lagesse, Harold Lee 84, of Beecher, lIlinois died December 28, 2012 in Chicago, lIlinois. Harold was born on July 22, 1928 in Grant Park, lIinois to Henry and Mynetta nee Schneider Lagesse. He married Marion Matthias on September 9, 1950 at Zion Lutheran Church in Grant Park, Illinois. Harold served in the US Army and was awarded the Purple Heart. He worked as a driver for Pagoria Trucking and Chicago Heights Motor Freight, was a member of the Beecher Volunteer Fire Department for many years, and had a great work ethic-especially enjoyed working in his yard. Harold was a faithful caregiver of his wife Marion of 62 years. Surviving him are his wife; three sons, Gary (Tamara) of Beecher, David (Patrice) of Beecher and Todd (Donna) of Bourbonnais; one daughter, Susan (Doug) Burdick of Beecher; eight grandchildren, Jeff, Michelle, Alexandria, Lauren, Justin, Austin, Jacob, and Samantha; four great-grandchildren, Kacie, Madison, Caroline, Morgan, and Jaxson; one brother, Garland (Pat) Lagesse of Momence; and one sister, Betty (Ben) Hale of Manteno, Illinois. The visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at the Hack Funeral Home in Beecher, Illinois with the funeral immediately following officiated by Rev. Cory Estby of Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Grant Park, Illinois. Memorials may be given to the Beecher Fire Dept. or Zion Lutheran Church.
