Andrasovsky, Megan Rose - Farmington  
Megan Rose Andrasovsky, 34, of Farmington, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016, in Farmington. Megan was born July 9, 1981, in Farmington, to Cathleen Shepard and Henry Andrasovsky. Megan Rose Andrasovsky graduated from Piedra Vista High School and attended San Juan College. Megan faced her many challenges in life with courage and grace. She was an eternal optimist finding a reason to smile in the hardest of times. For others, she always hoped for the best. Megan loved biographies, swimming in the ocean, musicals, and participating in all aspects of the theater. Her work with Community Theater brought her great experiences and many friends. A special thanks to the Edge program at SJCC who always offered her encouragement and support. Also, many thanks to the members of the Bottom of the Barrel (BoB) productions who brought Megan so much joy. Megan was preceded in death by her father, Henry S. Andrasovsky; grandparents, Rosa Lee Shockman, Lloyd Shockman, and Wilma Howe. Megan is survived by her parents, Cathleen Shepard and Guy Shepard; brothers, Jake (Amanda) Andrasovsky and Travis (Ashley) Shepard; and grandfather, Henry W. Andrasovsky. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20 at Alternative Choice Burial and Cremation, 804 N. Dustin, in Farmington. Baker, Billy Wayne - Ben Franklin  
Billy Wayne Baker, 68, of Kirtland, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016. He was born Nov. 4, 1947, in Ben Franklin, Texas, to Otha Arthur and Dovie Clark Gilbert Baker. Billy is a veteran of the U.S. Army. Billy is survived by his wife, Marilyn Lei Bass Baker; son, Billy W. Baker II; and daughter; Tabitha A. Baker. A memorial service with military honors will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 26 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Inurnment will follow. Bitsie, Louise M - Mexican Springs  
Louise M. Bitsie, 84 of Mexican Springs, New Mexico passed from this life Monday, May 16, 2016 in Bloomfield, New Mexico. She was born on July 8, 1931 in Houck, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents Celso and Althkanasbah Tabaha, husband Kenneth Bitsie, Sr. and son Jeffrey Bitsie. She is survived by her sons Michael Bitsie and Kenneth (Nadine) Bitsie, Jr. both of Mexican Springs, NM; daughters Evelyn (Anthony) Allison of Fruitland, NM, Sharon J. James of Upper Fruitland, NM and Emmaline (Don) McKendree of St. George, UT; brothers Leonard Tabaha and Leroy Tabaha both of Houck, AZ; sisters Virginia Joe of Houck, AZ and Rose Avery of Querino Canyon, AZ; and 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m., followed by a funeral services at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 601 Susan Avenue, Gallup, New Mexico. Interment will follow at Lone Pine Cemetery, Mexican Springs, New Mexico. A reception will follow at the Mexican Springs Chapter House, Mexican Springs, New Mexico. Brown, Doris M. - Farmington  
Doris M. Brown 89, of Farmington, entered her eternal Heavenly home on Friday, May 20, 2016, at Life Care Center of Farmington. She was born Feb. 25, 1927, in Eldred, Penn. Doris graduated from Otto-Eldred High School in 1946. Doris and Carl were married May 8, 1946, at First Baptist Church in Olean, N.Y. and recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. Doris was a member of First Baptist Church in Farmington. For many years she was a kindergarten teacher and also spent her adult life working with children at church. She was a vibrant soul who loved being with people, sewing and doing crafts of all kinds. She and her husband belonged to camping and square dance clubs in Washington State before retiring late in life and returning to New Mexico. Doris is survived by her husband, Carl L. Brown; children, Phyllis Jacobs, Danny Brown and Marty (Darlene) Brown; grandchildren, David (Deanna) Jacobs, Lisa (Neil) Haws, Shyne (Melissa) Brown, Denise Brown (Sidney Walczak), Randi (Don) Combs, Melissa Brock, Christopher Brown; and 10 great-grandchildren. A viewing for Doris will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday, May 26 with service immediately following at 10 a.m. at Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington with Rev. Keith Berryman officiating. Phyllis Carrol, age 92, of Aztec, died April 18, 2016. She is survived by her children: Michael Carroll, Rick Carroll, Cindy Polk and their spouses, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dodge, Alta M. - Chaco Canyon  
Alta Mae Dodge, 76, resident of the Nenahnezad and Chaco Canyon area, our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and community leader passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016. She was born of the Nihoobaanii Clan and born into the Tsenabahilnii Clan. Alta's maternal grandfather was of the To'aheedliinii Clan and her paternal grandfather was of the Todich'ii'nii Clan. Her children are born into the Ashiihi Clan. She was born February 28, 1940 in Chaco Canyon to the late Tom Chischilly and the late Mae (Beyale) Chischilly. She is survived by her daughters and sons, Althea Francis (Alfred) of Farmington; Dorothea Huff of Nenahnezad; Wanda Taylor of Nenahnezad; Brenda Becenti (Edison) of Farmington; John E. Dodge, Jr., of Nenahnezad; Carletta Dodge of Nenahnezad; Thomas Dodge of Pagosa Springs; and Elton Dodge (Mena) of Nenahnezad; one brother Norman Benally (Etta). She was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband John E. Dodge, Sr., parents Tom and Mae Chischilly, sisters Sarah Charley and Bessie Pine, brothers Jerry Chischilly and Perry Bennally, and uncles Clark Beyale and John Beyale. Alta met the love of her life and husband, John E. Dodge, Sr., in 1957 and were married for 39 years. They had 8 children who were always their priority and most all, their pride and joy. She began working at Nenahnezad Boarding School in 1968 and taught grades from Kindergarten through 4th grade, she retired in 1992 after 24 years of service with the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Her hobbies included farming, bowling, sewing, crocheting, traveling, storytelling and enjoying the love, laughter and presence of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She began bowling with her husband in 1972 and her late brother Jerry Chischilly and her late Uncle, Clark Beyale. Through the years their love of bowling is continued through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She bowled in numerous tournaments stretching from California to Florida, and met many people and made many more friends. The highlight of her bowling was when her Ladies bowling team placed Second in the Annual Women's International Bowling Congress National Tournament in 1996, bowled in Buffalo, NY. She was a community leader in Lake Valley Chapter, holding the position of Secretary, Treasurer. She registered voters for the Navajo Tribal, local, State and Federal elections, ensuring everyone's vote counted. She was a devout Republican and campaigned for many candidates. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday Morning, May 21,2016 at the Kirtland Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Stake Center with Bishop Lee officiating. Family and friends may view one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Kirtland Cemetery. Pallbearers are Russell Francis, Byron Francis, Patrick Huff, Joshua Becenti, Alejandro Uentillie and Hubert Harwood. Honorary Pallbearers are John E. Dodge, Jr., Thomas Dodge, Elton Dodge, Norman Benally, Alfred Francis, Edison Becenti, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ms. Alta Dodge's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Darryll Alan Lyman, 58, of Farmington, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016. He was born Nov. 22, 1957, in California. Darryll was preceded in death by his father, Dale Lyman. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Lyman; daughters, Whitney Bland (Kyle) and Taylor Lyman; sons, Dustin Lyman, Gib Lyman, and Conagher Lyman; five grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; and his mother, Martha Lyman.
