Werito, Roberta - Bloomfield  
Roberta Werito, 51, of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015, in Farmington. She was born Aug. 10, 1963, in Chaco Canyon, to Nelwood and Bessie Marie Werito. She was born to Ashiihii the Salt Clan and born for Bitahnii. Roberta is survived by three daughters, Ro Martinez of Farmington, Kelli Lyn Martinez and son-in-law Warren Toledo of Bloomfield, and Jalisa Leai Blackie and son-in-law Bing Ahenakew III; grandsons, Kyran Lee Judd and Demarius Landon Ahenakew of Wyoming; mother, Bessie Werito; three sisters, Wilma Lawrence, Brenda Werito and Ronnie Werito; two brothers, Wayne Werito and Vincent Werito; and many wonderful numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Jimmy Paul; father, Nelwood Werito; brother, Calvin Werito; sister, Vera Martin; and grandparents, Joe and Sarah Yazzie and Jim and Anna Beyale. A visitation will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at Cope Memorial Chapel in Kirtland. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 23, at the Day 3 Church, 1105 S. Miller Ave. in Farmington, with Pastor Bryan Corley officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in the Bloomfield Cemetery, 427 W. Cemetery Road, off of U.S. Highway 550. A reception will be at the Bloomfield Civic Center, 333 S. First St. in Bloomfield. Pallbearers are Vincent Werito, Shananray Eaton, Presley Victor, Roberto Martinez and Therman Martin. Will, Nancy Retta - Farmington  
Nancy Retta Will, a long time resident of Farmington, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2015. She was born Sept. 14, 1938, in Houston, Texas, to Harold and Margaret Will. She graduated from San Jacinto High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from Rice University. She took further education courses at the University of Houston. She taught school in Houston and in Taos, and was employed in office management positions at A.J. Foyt Chevrolet in Houston, and at Neptune-Wilkinson Associates, Consulting Civil Engineers in Austin, Texas. After moving to Farmington in 1989, she worked for Avis Rental Car Company, shuttling cars through the Southwestern scenery that she dearly loved. Nancy loved nature and the small animals that populated it. Two rescued feral cats, Grey Boy and Smudgie, were her companions for many years in Farmington, and feeding the birds was a once-a-day must. Telephone conversations with dear friends were also a cherished part of daily life. Nancy is survived by her brother John Will and his wife Johanna "Han" of Burleson, Texas; nephew Daniel Will and his wife Daphne of Southlake, Texas; niece Elisa Gappa of Fort Worth, Texas; and four grand-nieces, Katrina Colwick and husband Aaron, Margarett, Amanda and Elisabeth Will. A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, in the chapel of Brewer Lee and Larkin Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ASPCA or the Children's Defense Fund. Nancy's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
