Diana G. Lovato, 59, of Farmington, died on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, in Albuquerque. She was born Oct. 26, 1953, in Santa Fe.
She attended Farmington schools and graduated from Beauty College in Farmington. After beauty college she went to work for Beauty Inn as a cosmetologist for many years. Later purchased, owned and operated the Beauty Inn.
Later she went to work for Omni Hair Design, where she ended her career as a hairdresser.
Diana had such a great passion for her customers and the service she provided. She always made sure that her parents looked good.
The loves of her life were her grandchildren.
Diana was preceded in death by her sister, Monica Sanchez (Dunn).
She is survived by her dearest friend, Johnny Lovato; son, Dennis Luther; daughter, Krista (Adam) Dobbs; step-children, Johnny (Tanya) Lovato Jr., Steven (Shawnee) Lovato, Angela (Jay) Gardenhire; her parents, Torry and Dora Sanchez; brothers, Gerald Gallegos and Billy Sanchez; sister, Teresa Sanchez (Rick Jacquez); grandchildren, Christopher, Dylan ""DJ,"" Acascya and Nicholas; step-grandchildren, Siera, Trey, Estavan, Mateo, Alex, Brandon and Jadyn and many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be recited 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 414 N. Allen Ave. in Farmington.
A memorial mass will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Tim Farrell celebrant.
A reception will follow service at the family center.
Honorary pallbearers are Beverly Bentz, Liz Jim-Yazzie, Karen Clark, Minnie John, Ana Alba, Doris Lanier and Yvonne Casaus.
