Donovan White, 39, of Shiprock, died on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in Shiprock.
He was born Feb. 14, 1974, in Shiprock to the late David L. White Sr. and Rose A. White. His clan is Tlaash'chi'i (Red Cheeks) Bitahnii' (Folding Arms Clan) To'o ba'ahi' (Water Edge Clan) Tlizilahi' (Manygoats Clan).
Donovan enjoyed spending time with family and caring for his mother. His favorite team was the Denver Broncos. He had a good sense of humor and brought joy and laughter to all those he met.
He was preceded in death by his dad, David L. White Sr., and his niece, Brittany L. Hadley. Donovan is survived by his mother, Rose A. White; two brothers, David White Jr. and Cordalle White; six sisters, Shirley Lee and husband Walter, Deborah A. Smith and husband Deaton, Darlene White, Rita A. White, Dovanna Etcitty and husband Roy, and Cassandra White.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 6, at Desert View Funeral Home, with the Rev. Perry H. Charley officiating.
Interment will follow in the Shiprock Cemetery. Reception will be held at Hogback Chapter. Pallbearers are Shondale Lee, Farnell Charley, Farrell Charley, Nicolas Charley, Troy Etcitty, Cory Etcitty, Zephaniah White and Benson Hadley.
