Francis ""Frankie"" Garcia

Francis ""Frankie"" Garcia, 36, was born March 3, 1976, in Farmington to Merleen A. Garcia and Frank E. Marquis Jr. He was adopted by his mother's second husband, Gilbert O. Garcia, in 1979.
He was know to his friends and family as ""Frankie."" He was educated in the Aztec school system and graduated from Aztec High School in 1995. He lettered in track at Koogler Middle School in 1991 and was on the AHS Junior Varsity baseball team in 1993.
Frankie loved watching movies and listening to all kinds of music. He had a substantial video collection of action and comedy movies. His favorites were ""Xena Princess Warrior"" and ""Hercules.""
He enjoyed going out for cheese enchiladas, playing Bingo and going to casinos. He considered himself a good poker and Blackjack player.
As Frankie grew older, he was plagued by poor health that eventually led to slow deterioration of his nervous system, and he eventually passed from this life on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Loveless Medical Center in Albuquerque.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; his maternal grandfather and his mother.
Frankie is survived by his ""Dad"", Gilbert O. Garcia, of Aztec; his biological father, Frank E. Marquis Jr., of Roswell; his grandmother, Cordilla Martin and by numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
A rosary was recited 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept 12, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 500 N. Mesa Verde Ave. in Aztec.
A funeral mass will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Please, join the family for a reception at 11:30 a.m. after the service, in St. Joseph's Parish Hall.
Pallbearers are Bobby Garcia, Leo Esquibel Jr., Leo Olguin Jr., Mikey Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Nathan Jacquez and Jason Garcia.
Cremation will follow.
