Galvin Howe, 37, of Cove, Ariz., passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, in Waterflow. He was born Aug. 13, 1976, in Shiprock, to Marie Howe Harrison and the late Charles Harrison. He was born to Natoh Dine'e Tachiini and was born for Ozei Dine'e.
Galvin grew up in Cove, Ariz., attending Cove Day School, Red Rock Day School and graduated from Wingate High School in 1995. He was employed with T.K. Mining Services. Galvin loved his kids and was very involved with them. Galvin was a friend, nephew, son, brother. uncle and most of all a great father to his kids.
Galvin was preceded in death by his father, Charles Harrison and his grandparents-maternal, Everett and Edith Howe and paternal, Hoonaghanii Nez Begay and Mae Harrison.
He is survived by sons, Mitchell Howe, Devin Howe and Jarin Howe; daughters, DeAnne Howe, Shiinaya Howe; mother, Marie Harrison; brothers Dalvin Howe, Telford Harrison and Vernon Harrison; and his sisters, Alberta (Herman) Mitchell, Jacqueline Todacheene, Vangeline (Calvin) Hatahlie, Terrilene (Lenny) Esson and Sharles Harrison.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Shiprock, with Jimmy Walters officiating.
Burial will follow in the Cove Family Cemetery in Cove, Ariz.
A reception will follow at the Cove Chapter House.
Pallbearers are Isaac Mitchell, Cody Todacheene, Dylan Todacheene, Dalvin Howe, Telford Harrison and Calvin Hatahlie.
