Inez Hepner went to see Jesus on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014. She spent her last week in the hospital with her family by her side. It was truly a week of much sorrow and joy, as God gave us all many blessings as our hearts were breaking.
Inez was born March 1, 1936, in Bryant, Texas, to Leslie and Lois Perkins Oleson. She was the only girl out of five children. Her family spent their years farming and ranching in Texas and New Mexico. In 1949, they moved from Lovington, to Lindrith, where she met her lifetime sweetheart Raymond Hepner. After Raymond finished boot camp in the Army, he returned to Lindrith and they were married May 14, 1952, in Chama. Three days later, he went to Korea. In 1954, they were blessed with their first son Leslie, and in 1956, they were blessed with another son Raymond Jr. Lindrith was their home until 2000, when they moved to Bloomfield to be closer to their family.
Inez had many loves. Her sweetheart of 61 years Raymond, her family and friends were precious to her heart. Crocheting was her favorite thing to do. She loved the outdoors, and her flowers and garden brought her much joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Lois Oleson; son, Raymond Hepner Jr.; brothers, Charles Oleson and John Oleson.
