Jean C. Mitchell of Farmington, born Sept. 12, 1933, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. She had been a resident of Farmington for 10 years. She moved here from Arizona after the death of her husband, Harry J.
Jean loved music and had been a member of a church choir since she was 17.
Jean is survived by three sons, Michael (Rosanne) of Tonto Basin, Ariz., Harry L. (Pamela) of Farmington and Steve of San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren, Jay Michael of Phoenix, Ariz., Randi, a graduate of New Mexico State University, and Erin, a student at Farmington High School.
Having lost to death her sister, Mary, and brother, John, she is survived by a sister, Dorothy Maxwell of Nashville, Tenn. She is also survived by a niece, Ruth (Steve Haynes) of Rio Vista, Calif.; nephews, Shawn (Kathy) Maxwell of Nashville and Barry (Debbi) Bunch of Mason, Mich.; great-nieces; nephews; and a host of friends, both here and in Bisbee, Ariz.
As per her wishes, she was immediately cremated.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 21, at Alternative Choice in Farmington.
Inurnment will be held in the family plot in Bisbee, Ariz.
