Misty Allison Rogers was born July 28, 1975, to Jim and Charlotte Rogers in Lawton, Okla. She passed from this life on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, from complications of MS. Misty attended school in Lindsay, Okla., graduating in 1993. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Lindsay. She obtained a language arts degree from Cameron University in Lawton, Okla., beginning a lifelong dream of teaching high school English and literature. As the MS progressed, Misty moved to Farmington to be with family who loved her deeply and were blessed to have her there the last seven years. Misty was an amazing person who loved and was loved by everyone she met.
Misty is survived by her parents of the home; sister, Brooke Jess ( Brad); niece, Osa C'ann; nephew, Aric James, all of Farmington, grandmother, Osa Rogers of Clearwater, Kan.; aunt Shelby Mayfield of Clearwater, Kan., Uncle Jerry ""Pedro"" Barker of Huachuca City, Ariz., uncle, Mike Barker of Elgin , Ariz., numerous cousins, and special lifelong friends Bob and Lois Pennington of Louisiana and Frank and Betty Strong of Farmington.
Misty was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Shelby Rogers, maternal grandparents, Howard and Lavonne Barker, and uncle, Ron Mayfield.

There will be a celebration of Misty's life from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan 12, 2014, at her home, 4718 Barcelona Court.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Farmington Animal Shelter in Misty's name.
Misty wrote poetry starting at an early age and had several publications. A quote from a poem she wrote in 1992: "" Should my time come quickly and with God I come the last mile… Let me end my life then with courage and a smile.""
