Robert "Bobby" Ellis McGee, 64, of Farmington, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014. He was born Nov. 2, 1949, to Ellis DeWitt McGee and Dorothy "Dot" (Peternel) McGee in Gallup.
Bobby graduated from Gallup High School and attended Eastern New Mexico University majoring in geology. He moved to Farmington in 2004 in order to take care of his father and step-mother.
Bobby was an artistic designer and maker of custom jewelry. He always had a smile and good word for everyone. Bobby was a kind-hearted soul who enjoyed a good joke and never complained.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Angela White McGee.
Bobby is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Ann "D'Ann" and husband, Roy Waters, and Jolene Marie and husband, Samuel Roscoe; nephew, Sean Waters; niece, Tabitha Roscoe and fiancé Eric Kennedy; great nephew, Lucas Waters; and great nieces, Faith Waters and Isabela Kennedy.
Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 414 N. Allen Ave. in Farmington.
A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m., with Father Anthony Dike as celebrant.
Inurnment will be at noon on Monday, April 14, in the St. Mary's Resurrection Columbarium, 2100 E. 20th St., in Farmington.
