Roger Wade Jay has entered eternal rest in Silver City. He was born Oct. 31, 1958, in Ajo, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Thomas and Leora Jay; maternal grandparents, Ed and Vesta Lorenzen and a brother, Richard.
Roger is survived by his parents, George and wife, Barbara Jay, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Deanna and husband, Jim Washer, of Apache Junction, Ariz.; daughter, Desirae and husband, Devin Quintana and granddaughter, Mariah of Tucson, Ariz.; brother, Tom Jay and wife, Kateri Drexler, of Ridgway, Colo.; sister, Sherill and husband, Bobby Armstrong, of Farmington; nieces, Julie and Ara; nephews, William, Nicholas and Coury, Aunt Judy Galvez, beloved family members and many friends.
Roger attended Silver High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. He loved the outdoors, including fishing, camping and wood cutting and spent many years working as a carpenter for various construction companies.
Roger is remembered by his family and friends and will always be deeply missed.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be determined at a later date. We pray Roger has reunited on the other side with his friends for life, Craig Heisick, Dave Berry, Shane Reed and Jack Gear.
