Virginia Pearl Conder

Virginia Pearl Conder, 90, of Aztec, died on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Good Samaritan Skilled Nursing Facility, in Aztec. She was born April 9, 1922, in Fairfield, Ill., to Elvis and Constance Goodman.
Virginia was well known around Aztec for her bright red hair and her unconventional laugh. For many years she was a fixture at every sporting and music event participated in by her children. She can be seen in many Aztec High School Yearbook Photos, sitting in the background in the sun with her umbrella.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Glenda and her son, Jim, who passed away in April of this year.
She is survived by her son, John (Barbara); daughter, Cindy (Robert) Davis, of Seaside, Calif.; grandsons, Sean Conder, of Aztec and Greg (Jolene) Conder, of Brentwood, Calif; daughter-in-law, Dawn Conder, of Auburn, Calif.; brothers, Tom (Jo) Goodman, of Santa Fe and Kenneth (Marlys) Goodman, of Bloom, Minn.; sister, Elva Stone, of FT. Smith, Ark.; great-granddaughters, Lauren and Megan Conder, of Brentwood, Calif. and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the First United Methodist Church in Aztec.
