Wanda Lou Cook entered the heavenly kingdom on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014. She was greeted by her parents, George and Vera Smith, and her husband of 60 years, Charles Cook. Wanda was born Dec. 29, 1930, in Bradley, Okla.
She married Charles Cook on June 19, 1954, in Odessa, Texas. It was there they made their home and raised their family. Upon retirement in 2000, they moved to Farmington. Wanda was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Georgia Fran Cook of Farmington; son, Robert Mitchell Cook and wife, Kathy of Austin, Texas; and grandchildren, Beth Earick and husband, Tim of Surprise, Ariz., and Kelsey and Jacob Cook of Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren, Christopher Jackson and Corey Earick of Surprise, Ariz.; great-great-granddaughter, Emily Grace Krajewskie of Venice Beach, Calif.; and her precious friends, Kate Frazer and Mary Kruger, who were a constant source of company and laughter, and who Wanda always enjoyed being with.
She was lovingly referred to as "Mamma Lou." Her humility and strength was always evident in her love and caring of others. Her wit was unmatched. She always kept her girls on their toes, especially her daughter, Fran, who was her constant companion and caretaker.

Cremation has taken place.
There will be an open house to celebrate Wanda's Life from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the family home.
