Willie D. Lambright, 91, of Farmington, died in her home on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in Farmington. She was born March 26, 1922, to Mitch and Ella Johnson in Union Hill Community near Glenmora, La.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Farmington and prior to moving, was a member and faithfully attended Union Hill Baptist Church.
After graduating from High School with honors, she worked in the office at Camp Claiborne, home of the largest war games in American History, which was located 18 miles SW of Alexandria, La. Over half a million men passed through its gates.
By her testimony she loved the Lord, her family and being a wife and mother.
Willie was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Lambright; son, Kirby Jr.; daughter, Patty; her parents; four brothers, Everette, Willard, Curtis and D.C.; five sisters, Lucy Johnson, Addie Cloud, Allie Ray, Bonnie Mae Johnson and Jessie Lee Doyle.
Those left to cherish her memory are many nieces, nephews and friends.
A viewing 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. before the service.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, April 5, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4400 College Blvd. in Farmington, with Bishop George Payne conducting.
Burial is directly after service in Memory Gardens, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.
