Robert Elzore Cadrain (1928 - 2013)

Robert was born in Boston, Mass., Aug. 15, 1928, to Gladys and Elzore Cadrain, where he lived until the 1940s. Robert attended Syracuse University, where he met and married Delia Casler on Nov. 21, 1948, in Syracuse, N.Y. Robert joined the U. S. Marine Corps in 1951 and served at the Marine Corps Station with the First Marine Corps Division stationed at Cherry Point, N.C. He also was stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif., with the second Recon Battalion during the Korean Conflict. Robert was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League, VFW, NRA and Marine Corps Heritage Foundation.
Robert was the owner of Sunbelt Mechanical Corp. until his retirement in 1998. He was an active sportsman all his life, who especially enjoyed elk hunting with his sons, Fred and Jay Cadrain and his grandson, Robert James (RJ).
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Delia (Dee); his sons, Fred Cadrain (Christy) and Jay Cadrain (Aztec); grandson, RJ (Jessica); granddaughters, Casey and Elizabeth Cadrain; great-grandchildren, Brookelynn and Kasen Cadrain.
Cremation will take place, and a rosary for Robert was at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St. in Farmington.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th St. in Farmington, with Father Frank Chacon as celebrant.
