Brent G. Jandreau

Brent G. Jandreau of Carson, went home with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at San Juan Regional Medical Center after a brief, aggressive bout with pancreatic cancer. Born and raised in Fort Kent, Maine on July 31, 1954 to the late, Peter E. Jandreau and Loraine Theriault Jandreau Wilson.
Brent was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Joseph and Ira; step-father, Donald Wilson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dick Nakai and Sadie C. Yazzie.
Survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Dora M. Yazzie who he met in Phoenix, Ariz. but moved to Carson to be near her family; mother, of Calais, Maine; brother, Peter C. (Valerie), of Deer Isle, Maine; sister, Audrey Jandreau (Alvin) MacDonald, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; daughters, Jennifer (Justin) Whiting, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Candace (Shaun) O'Melveny, of Albuquerque; step-son, Dorian (Rojera) Yazzie, of Fort Hall, Idaho, Salina (Mark) Lovato, of Bloomfield; 16 grandchildren, Jonathan, Katelyn, Jaedon, Kinley and Jethro Whiting, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Kiara, Natasha, Michael, Philip, Kimberly and Cedric O'Melveny, of Albuquerque, Weigus Coby and the arrival of a grandson, Paul, Kayla, Aspen and Chloe Lovato; two brother-in-laws; four sister-in-laws and numerous other relatives.
Brent was last employed by PESCO after being in the oil field industry for 40 years. In his youth, Brent's passion was doing anything mechanical. Since high school (Calais, Maine) he was known to be tinkering with cars which led him cross-country after studying at the University of Maine, Fort Kent, working as a truck driver, heavy equipment operator and mechanic.
Brent was quiet and tranquil but also very quick witted. He had a big heart, helping many folks with their vehicles and whatever needed. His mechanic and engineering skills will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, Carson Faith Assembly of God Church with refreshments after service.
Cremation has taken place, inurnment will take place at a later date, in St. Francis, Maine, after a Mass of Christian Celebration in Calais, Maine.
Brent will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A big "THANK YOU" to San Juan Medical Foundation, especially the Connelly Hospitality House and the Cancer Center.
