Carroll Myers Evans, 87, of Farmington passed away peacefully in his home on June 2, 2013, and was reunited with the love of his life, his wife, Norma. Carroll was born in Clovis, Oct. 1, 1925, to Charles Hamilton Evans and Anna Grace Myers Evans.
Carroll married his high school sweetheart, Norma Taylor, June 15, 1947. To this union was born four children, Byron, Dennis, Elaine and Ronald.

Later, in 1952, he became the Northwest Regional Commander at the rank of Captain in the Civil Air Patrol, involved in numerous search and rescue missions. Carroll also served 9 years as director of the San Juan County Board of Realtors.
Carroll was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served diligently in many callings.
Our dad spread smiles with his sense of humor. His kind heart and gentle eyes never missed any person in need, whether it be a hungry person in the street, someone needing some money to get on their feet, or anyone in need, especially at Christmas when he noticed a parent who couldn't buy their children a present. That was who Carroll was, that's who Carroll is.
Carroll was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma and siblings, Lenora, DeAun, Charles and LeeElla.
He leaves behind his sons, Byron (wife, Debbie) of Farmington; Dennis Evans of Aztec; Ronald Evans and (eternal life love, Jennie) of Denver, Colo. and daughter, Elaine Williams (husband, Bobby) of Gilbert, Ariz.; siblings, David Donald Evans of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Gary Evans of Port Orchard, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and many dear friends and associates.
