Cecil S. McKenzie, 81, of Farmington, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, in the loving care of his family in Hastings, Neb. He was born in Manassa, Colo., to Claude and Adah (Hawkins) McKenzie.

He met the love of his life, Jacqueline Poage in 1951, and they were married Jan. 2, 1952; she preceded him in death Aug. 5, 2013. They had 61 years together. Cecil coached little league baseball in Farmington for 14 years. He was a retired truck driver and a teamster for 30 years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Farmington 4th Ward.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Jacqueline McKenzie; and two sons, Cecil E. McKenzie and Kelly McKenzie.
He is survived by his children, Pamela and Claude McKenzie, Gloria Aldrich and Jacqueline Kratochvil; sisters, Adah Bennett, of Farmington and Naomi Waychoff, of Florence, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, in Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington, with Bishop Roger Wood officiating.
