Imogene "Jean" Dean, 83, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at her residence. She was born April 9, 1929, in Maysville, Okla. and attended high school and graduated in 1947.
She married Wendell Dean in Maysville, Okla. on June 14, 1947. They moved to Hobbs, in 1950, with Tulsa Rig before moving to Cortez, Colo. with Flint Rig Co. Jean and Wendell also moved to Moab, Utah, Vernal, Utah, and Gillette, Wyo., before coming home to Midland, Texas, in 1987, where they remained.
Jean lived her life to serve God, Church, family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Wendell Dean, of Midland, Texas; two sons, Randy Dean and wife, Linda, of Farmington, and Gregg Dean and wife, Trina of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Kristoffer Dean, of Chicago, Ill., Josh Dean and wife, Eydie of Midland, Texas, Aubrie West and husband, Shawn, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Kevin Donohue and wife, Ashley of Lakewood, Colo., Kari Thomas, of Albuquerque, Grant Guelker and wife, Tessa, of Midland, Texas and Clay Guelker, of Abilene, Texas and four great-grandkids, Brooklin Dean, Owen Dean, Avery Guelker and Logan Donohue.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 25, at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Chapel, with Dr. John Gerlach officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made to the Crestview Baptist Church Building Fund, 301 State Highway 250 Loop Frontage Rd. Midland, TX 79703.
