Jeanene Mary Bartlett
March 8, 1952-Nov. 6, 2012
Jeanene Mary Bartlett, 60, a resident of Farmington, achieved eternal happiness with the Lord on Nov. 6, 2012. Jeanene was born on March 8, 1952 to John and Nora Murray in New York City, N.Y.
Jeanene's parents raised Jeanene, along with sister Nancy, in Our Lady of Angels parish, located in the Bronx, NYC. As a youth Jeanene enjoyed team sports such as basketball and swimming.
Later, as an adult, bowling provided a venue for enjoyment through participation in mother-son leagues with son, Spencer, and adult leagues with friends.
Jeanene met Kevin Bartlett in l978 . They were married on Sept. 18, 1982. After residing briefly in Queens, NYC, Jeanene, Kevin and Spencer came to their senses and moved to Connecticut, where son, Gerard, and daughter, Maggie Rose, entered their lives. Jeanene initiated her professional career as a radiographer and advocate for women's breast health in Bridgeport, Conn., at St. Vincent's Hospital.
In l996, the whole family moved to Farmington, where Jeanene fell in love with the desert, mountains and mesas. Despite good natured teasing regarding her NYC accent, Jeanene came to call the Four Corners area home, hiking and exploring throughout the region.
Jeanene continued her radiographer career at San Juan Regional Medical Center, initially as a Mammography Technician, later as a Mammography Supervisor. The focal point of Jeanene's career was women's breast health.
Jeanene is survived by her husband, Kevin; son, Robert Spencer and wife, Meredith; son, Gerard Thomas; daughter, Maggie Rose and Husband, James and their son, Jeanene's grandson, Jack Hudson; mother, Nora; sister, Nancy and husband, Howard and their children, Jeanene's nephews and niece, Bryan, Jennifer and James.
Jeanene's father, John preceded her in eternal happiness in June of 2012.
