Justin "Steven" Lynch, 63, of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in Farmington. He was born Nov. 29, 1950, in Ganado, Ariz., to Thomas and Leona Lynch. Steve was raised in Sanders, Ariz. He was born to Honaghaahnii (One walks around clan) and born for Kinhchlinii (Red house Clan).

In his teens, he moved to the Albuquerque area and graduated from Highland High School, after which he attended Eastern New Mexico University and earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of New Mexico. Throughout his high school and college years, Steve was an accomplished distance runner.
Steve had a long engineering career with BHP Billiton in the Farmington area then finished his career working as a Project Manager for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Steve retired in the summer of 2012. Beyond his career as an engineer, Steve was a loving, caring, and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Steve was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer. These were all things he loved to do with his wife, children, and family. Spending time with family was the most important priority to Steve. He will be greatly missed.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Patrick Lynch, William Lynch, Fred Lynch and Robert Lynch.
He is survived by his wife Harrietta Lynch; son Justin Lynch Jr.; daughters, Stephanie Brothers, Michelle Bruno and Jessica Lynch; brothers, Thomas Lynch Jr., John Lynch and Edward Lynch; sisters, Maryesha Watman and Grace Monarco; grandchildren, Rachel Brothers, Abigail Brothers, Nolan Bruno, Bobbi Bruno and Cotton Bruno.
A visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, April 7, at Piñon Hills Community Church, 5101 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington, with Pastor Keith Corley officiating.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.
Reception will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Farmington Civic Center, 200 W. Arrington St. in Farmington.
