Margie Rose Cozart, 49, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora after a two-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family and was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
She was born Oct. 14, 1964, in Farmington, to Karl C. Knudsen and Frances D. Mortensen. She was later adopted by Sherron R. Spencer. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1983 and then moved to Albuquerque, where she married her husband, Arthur Duane Cozart, on Dec. 10, 1983.
In February 1987, Margie and her family moved to Arizona City, Ariz., where they lived until 2008 when they moved to Salida, Colo.
Margie has two children and four grandchildren. She touched many lives over the years. She had a special gift with children and will always be remembered by her "grandma" kisses.
She was preceded in death by her father, Karl C. Knudsen, and her mother, Frances Deanne Spencer.
She is survived by her husband, Duane; two children, Rochelle Ashcroft and Michael Cozart; three grandchildren, Emma , Owen and Tyler; two sisters, Cammy Reeves and Tara Patterson; her niece, Krystal Reeves; nephew, Cody Patterson; daughter-in-law, Ary Cozart; son-in law, Kendall Ashcroft; brother-in-law, Mark Reeves; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home, 203 E. Sackett St. in Salida, Colo.
