Marion Lawrence "Larry" Webb Obituary
Marion Lawrence "Larry" Webb, 87, of Farmington passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013, at his home of 45 years surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born April 20, 1926, in Indianapolis, Ind., the son of Lawrence Louis Webb and Helen Marie Lynn Webb.
He was a U.S. Navy Vet of World War II for ten years as a Chief Bosuns Mate and served in multiple European Theaters including Normandy.
Larry was a retired boiler maker.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Julie Gauna Webb; living children, Mary Hicks, Kathleen Gilbreath, Julie Rhodus and Steven Webb; aunts, Betty Mae Cone of Indiana and Mary Alice Cone of Texas; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many dear friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his sons Mickey and Johnny Webb and daughter Linda.
Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29,. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th St. in Farmington.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Father Frank Chacon as celebrant. Inurnment will follow mass at St. Mary's Catholic Columbarium with full military honors performed by VFW Post #2182 of Farmington.
