Robert "Tony" Burns, 68, of Kirtland, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. Tony was born Dec. 4, 1944, in Hammond, Ind., the son of Robert and Marjorie Burns.
Tony's work experience included ambulance driver, deputy sheriff, union insulator, and he finally settled in a construction management career for Electrical Energy Services, Inc. Tony worked as a superintendent/project manager since 1980.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Burns and Marjorie Burns and his sister, Linda Justice.
Tony leaves behind his wife and best friend,, Shirlene Burns of Farmington; sons Tracy Burns and family of Rio Rancho, Duane Burns and family of Kirtland; daughters, Leah Linker and family of Aztec; twin brothers, Ron Burns of Colorado and Don Burns of Albuquerque; sisters, Connie Chandler of Flora Vista; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild due in February and many dear friends.
Cremation will take place and memorial services for Tony are Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at the Calvary Chapel of Farmington, 6925 E. Main St., with Pastor Andy Fine officiating. Thank you to Dr. Castrellon and staff, and Guardian Angel Home Health Care for all their care and support.
