Margie A. Trujillo, 87, of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014, in Farmington. She was born Nov. 25, 1926, in Cuba, to Ben Lucero and Carlota Chavez.
Margie enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved dancing, working in her yard and watching the flowers bloom.
It was important to her to stay informed on the well-being of her grandkids. She loved spending time with her daughter, Alice, her best friend. Grandma cherished her independence and was in control of her life until her passing.
We love you, and we miss you already.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Aron Trujillo; sons, Rudy Trujillo and Thurman Trujillo; parents; brother, Willie Lucero; and her sister, Bessie Naranjo.
She is survived by her son, Fred (Karla) Trujillo; daughter, Alice (Leonard) Gonzales; brothers, Charlie (Bonnie) Lucero, Gabby Lucero and Arthur Lucero; sisters, Ernestina Santiago, Bertha (Walter) Henderson, Filipita Hernandez, Sylvia Lobato and Jenny (Joe) Martinez; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. today, April 2, at Alternative Choice Chapel in Farmington.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, at the World Harvest Center, 1024 N. Butler Ave. in Farmington.
Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
A reception will follow at the church.
Pallbearers are Mike Montoya, Sean Gonzales-Montoya, Sid Martin, Aron Trujillo, Isaiah DeClusin and Diane Gonzales.
