Kathryn S. Williams, 90, of Farmington passed away of natural causes in her sleep on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, in her home. She was born May 30, 1923, in Lockney, Floyd County, Texas, the daughter of John F. Starkey and Kathryn McLaughlin Starkey.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, "Woody" Williams; step-son, Gary Brewer; and brothers, Jim, Bob and John Starkey. She leaves behind her sisters, Nina Brewer of Abilene, Texas, and Eula Mullen of Idaho Falls, Idaho and three step-children, Annice Wilson, Ann New and Ken Williams.
Kathryn taught school in the Farmington School System from early 1950 until her retirement in the late 1970s.
A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 12, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 211 W. 20th St. in Farmington, with Pastor John Preston officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Interment was at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
