Mary Ann Eubanks Lux, 81, of Aztec, went to heaven on Saturday, May 17, 2014. She was born April 27, 1933, on Church Street in Aztec.
She graduated from Aztec High School and later retired from the Gas Company of New Mexico.
Her husband of 51 years, Wilfred "Billy" Lux, preceded her in death in 2002. She joins Billy; her parents, Jim and Myrtis Eubanks; and her siblings, Jerry Hinman, Billy Eubanks and James Eubanks, in a joyous reunion.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Leon) Steele and Vicky (Jory) Jones; grandchildren, Jessica (Felipé) Gomez, Mandy (Art) Bradley and Nathan (Marie) Jones; very special great-grandchildren, Cade Gomez, Haze Gomez, Esther Bradley and Silas Jones; and best friends, Betty Waggoner and Helen Steele.
A mother, a granny, an aunt and a friend who gave us laughter and love, we will miss you so.
A visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today, May 21, at Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec.
A funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, at the Aztec United Methodist Church, 123 E. Chaco Ave. in Aztec. Pastor Jeff Symonds will officiate.
Pallbearers are Nathan Jones, Cade Gomez, Haze Gomez, Felipé Gomez, Art Bradley and John Faverino.
Honorary pallbearers are Silas Jones, Leon Steele, Jimmie Steele and Jory Jones.
