Stanley "Johnny" E. Ringgold, 89, of Farmington, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 in Farmington. He was born Feb. 14, 1925, in Muskogee, Okla., to James Wesley Ringgold and Iva Mae Whitefield.
Dad served in World War II in the U.S. Navy as a SeaBee. He was a boilermaker in the Union #627 (retired). He drove for AVIS and loved to haul his barrels.
Johnny was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ringgold.
He is survived by his son Kelley (Ruthie) Ludwick; daughters, Valerie (Miles) Wheeler, Darla (Scott) Griffith, Alisa Kimbell and Timothy (Gina) Ringgold.
A visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, at Alternative Choice, 804 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington.
A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Lee Fiske officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.
Pallbearers are Scott Griffith, Justin Griffith, Earl North, Rocky Nunn, T.J. Fitzwater and Bill Johnson.
Memorials can be made Meals on Wheels.
