Victor Herbert Mauldin, of Naples, Texas, passed away on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. He was born Jan. 23, 1930, to Truett Mauldin and Gomez Graham Mauldin.
Victor served faithfully in the U.S. Army and was a Mason and a member of the VFW and of the Dellwood Park Assembly of God. He retired as a field superintendent of the El Paso Natural Gas Company.
He is survived by his son, Roy Miller, of Farmington; daughters, Patsy Baumgartner, of Farmington, and Treva Mitchell, of Albuquerque; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Victor is preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Phillips Mauldin; second wife, Betty Mauldin; son, James Dennis Mauldin; and sister, Lavelle McCowan.
A service was at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Dellwood Park Assembly of God in Mount Pleasant, Texas, with Brother Ron Smith and Brother John Contreras officiating. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, at the funeral home.
Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, in Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave., with full military honors provided by VFW Post #2182.
