Gary Vincent Derrera, 33, of Farmington, died on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in Farmington. He was born May 29, 1979, in Denver, Colo.
He graduated from Aztec High School. Gary was employed by XTO Energy and he was also a member of the Farmington Elks Lodge #1747.
He loved to feel the wind on his face while riding his motorcycle. He cherished his children and loved taking them for four-wheeler rides.
Gary leaves behind his wife, Jennifer Derrera; son, Rome Derrera; daughters, Daytin Derrera and Haley Derrera; parents, Gene and Lucille Derrera, Cindy Munoz and Harland Allen; brothers, Orlando Munoz; sisters, Luella and Stephanie and many friends.
Cremation will take place.
Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 414 N. Allen St. in Farmington with Father Tim Farrell as celebrant.
Gary will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Farmington Elk's Lodge #1747, 801 Municipal Drive in Farmington.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Gary's name to Citizens Bank.
Gary's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington 505-325-8688.
