Coralie A. Huntington Obituary
Coralie A. Huntington, 89, of Farmington, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, in Farmington. She was born May 29, 1924, in Farmington, to Ray R. and Effie Hazel Redmond Roberts.
Coralie was a homemaker for many years before working for Citizen's Bank and Tinnin Enterprises. She was a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and continued to meet socially with her sorority sisters until her death.
Coralie was an excellent seamstress, a cake baker and decorator extraordinaire and a gracious hostess and talented cook. Her backyard was her pride and joy and was always filled with beautiful flowers and shrubs.
She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a second mom to many of her nieces and nephews. Coralie was the force that drew the family together and she loved them all unconditionally.
She was comforted by her faith and her church family as well as her many special neighbors who lovingly watched over her.
Coralie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold Roberts, Donald Roberts and Norman Roberts; sister, Thelma Tinnin; and her granddaughter, Leigh Anne Hidalgo.
She is survived by her son, Gary R. (Sibyl) Huntington; daughter, Connie J. (Bill) Wolf; grandchildren, Brad (Kristen) Wolf and Todd (Debbie) Wolf; great-grandchildren, Krystena (Darrell) Priddy and Chance Hidalgo; great-great-grandchildren, Kalissa, Deakyn, Deasyl and Chance Jr.; and her lifelong friends, Millie Spears, Cassie Dallas, Deloris Griffith, Shirley Arnold and Florence Harper. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. today, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the First United Presbyterian Church, 865 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington, with the Rev. Glenn Perica officiating.
A private family graveside service will take place.
Pallbearers are Brad Wolf, Todd Wolf, Darrell Priddy, Don Tinnin, Nick Tinnin and Bruce Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Presbyterian Church, 865 N. Dustin Ave., Farmington, NM 87401.
