Alvin Russell Sandoval, 54, a lifelong resident of Nageezi, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, in Farmington. He was born June 26, 1959, in Otis, to Russell Sandoval and Nellie Sam. He was born to Nihoobaani and born for Hashtl'shnii.
At an early age of 17, he left to work in the railroad to the mid 1990s. He then resided in Cuba for about five years. He moved back to Nageezi and has lived there since.
He enjoyed herding sheep for his aunt Evelyn. After he lost his sight, he just resided at home. He enjoyed listening to the radio and listening to game shows. He always enjoyed having visitors and telling them about his adventures in the railroad and living in Cuba.
We will greatly miss Alvin. The family would like to thank everyone for their support and generosity.
