Max Chavez Obituary
Max Chavez, 77, of Farmington, passed away Oct. 14, 2013. Max was born on Oct. 6, 1936, to Delvbino and Rosa Chavez.
Max served in the Army, and, after marrying, worked as a mechanic and then as a maintenance supervisor for Central Consolidated School District. After retirement, he became active helping at St. Mary's Church with the Knights of Columbus.
In his free time, Max enjoyed spending time with his family. If you couldn't find Max at church or hanging out with loved ones, then it was a sure thing that he was at the golf course, more times than not accompanied by his great-grandchildren, Timothy and Angelyna. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
Max is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Chavez; daughter, Lena Lattin; and two brothers. Max is survived by his daughters, Juanita (Ralph) Lobato and Lisa Campbell; son-in-law Ken Campbell; and many brothers and sisters. Max is survived by several grandchildren, Dolores (Anthony) Anaya, Max, Eric, Kassie, Tina, Tony, and his great-grandchildren, Tim and Angi.
A Rosary will be held 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ralph Lobato, Ken Campbell, Anthony Anaya, Tony Lattin, Max Lobato and Eric Campbell.
